My name is Petri Uutela. I am a photographer, based most likely far away from you. My background in photography is in photojournalism and documentary, but I left that behind a decade ago. After ending my photojournalistic career, I had to put the camera away for a few years to gain a new perspective. These images are mostly the result of that.

My work explores the aesthetics of the everyday and the unseen, revealing beauty in the most ordinary and overlooked things that surround us. My photographs are unstaged and document reality, but they’re less about what I see and more about how I feel it.
